New Orleans

The city has a dark charm

When it comes to writing about New Orleans, so much can be said and I do not know where to start.
I grew up visiting this city. When I was young it terrified me. It was dark and mysterious, nothing like the innocences of my home town. I didn't quite know how to take it. Now, more culturally literate, I find the city to be one of my favorite locations. It has a rather dark charm. Mysterious, if you will. Never quite knowing who or what is lurking around the next corner. This city is rich in culture and I highly recommend visiting if your not apposed to venturing into the cities dark side, because as much as one tries, New Orleans walks hand and hand with it. I would like to advise this city is more adult oriented. A lot of bars, music, sea food.
If you are faint at heart, be sure to never order Crawfish at a restaurant, they are quite interesting looking little creatures.

St. Augustine during Christmas time is a surreal experience

With millions of Christmas lights flooding the streets, St. Augustine's eyrie past is exposed in a different perspective that can be enjoyable to all who adores a dark city.

St. Augustine, Florida has always been among one of my favorite locations to visit. History, small city feel, and beaching it up blend quite well together and make for an enjoyable experience many can enjoy. Mostly visiting the city in the blazing florida summer heat, I felt as if a winter trip would be a nice change. Not quite knowing what to expect, I set off for a four ride south to the my destination with, the more reluctant co-piolit, Loki; who is my fifteen pound siamese cat.

Very usual of Florida, the December weather was eighty degrees. Resenting the Florida atmosphere, I was stuck in a distraught mood feeling as if it would take away from the Christmasy feel. Over the next few hours, angles from heaven descended from the clouds submerging the city in their icy cold breath. I couldn't have been happier, until I seen the city. Lights radiated off every building creating a hazy mist which flooded the streets.

Highly recommend visiting St. Augustine this time of year.
Some tourist traps I found quite amusing:

-Horse and buggy ride: Although this is rather pricey, it is a good way to hear the history of the city while riding around behind a majestic creature.

- Ghostly tours: If you enjoy creepy stories, then this tour is for you. Weather or not the claims are true, it'll be sure to send a chill own everyones spines.

-Fort tour Rich in history and quite entertaining.

- Light house tour Claims of a haunted light house, how couldn't that be entertaining?
